Mons : Saint-Waudru collegiate church (1450-1686), The "Car d¿Or" (1780). Town hall (1458), Jardin du Mayeur, 87 m high Belfry (1661-1669) part of the Unesco World Heritage, 49 bell carillon, Saint-Calixte Chapel, Museum of Fine Art, Chanoine Puissant museum, Museum of Folklore and Mons Life. F. Duesberg museum. Mundaneum. Cuesmes: House of Vincent Van Gogh. Havré: remains of the château of the Dukes of Croÿ (14-17è s.). Numerous museums.

Folklore and events :

Mons Fair (Trinity Sunday), "Car d'Or" procession with the Saint-Waudru relic, the "Lumeçon" fight and the International Festival of Military Music, Messines Fair (great flower market the last weekend of March).

Sports and tourist facilities :

"Grand Large" : extensive stretch of water with recreation park "La Sapinette", water skiing, sailing, canoeing, windsurfing. Harbour master's office. Waux-Hall Gardens, Jemappes park (angling, tennis). Imagipark.
