This first Brussels biennial is about contemporary art in the Belgian capital. As it is closely related to the city's initial modernization project, numerous activities will take place along the North-South railway axis: in the former Post Sorting Center at the Brussels-South station, the Anneessens premetro station, the Brussels-Central station and the National Bank of Belgium. Brussels Biennial is an attempt to rethink modernity in a global context. Various contemporary art institutions will participate to this project.
