The tropics in Brussels? You can't make something like that up and yet, oddly enough, that's exactly what it looks like. New edition for this beach on the edge of the canal right in the centre of the capital and, year after year, its attractions are growing. Fine sand, coconut palms, football pitch and pétanque green, salsa bars, DJs and concerts, organised activities and fountains - sooner or later, the spicy ingredients of this sun-bathed festival could well spill over into other seasons or even other places. Who knows, in 2020 perhaps we'll be talking about a Brussels' Malibu?
